Incredible. In April, DeSantis secured 1,000,000 doses of hydroxychloroquine for Florida even though there wasn't proof it worked against Covid. Two months later, Florida hospitals only used 16,000 pills. More than 980,000 doses are just languishing. (1/2)
A DeSantis spokeswoman explained the very low demand for HCQ by saying,"this medication is a drug of last resort," and FL hospitals still have ICU beds and ventilators. That's the opposite of what Trump has been saying. He literally took it as a "preventative" treatment. (2/2)— Marshall Cohen (@MarshallCohen) June 12, 2020
