TONIGHT Chief D.C. U.S. District Judge Beryl Howell has unsealed a previously secret grand jury opinion from April 2, 2018, in an unspecified investigation into possible money laundering, sanctions violations and defrauding the United States.

The heavily redacted 13-page opinion granted a U.S DOJ request to waive attorney-client privilege for "emails, audio recordings, and cooperator statements about written or oral communications" that prosecutors had subpoenaed to show a federal grand jury.
