As is inevitably the case, a bad week for America is a good week for Trump. His only chance is chaos and conflict. If extremes on both sides rule the day, an authoritarian figure becomes more attractive.

Trump will promise people security through violence. Biden and anyone who supports him must promise, and deliver, security through justice. It isn't clear if they are capable.
