So Hope Hicks isn’t being brought back to babysit Trump, and @Reince @SeanSpicer aren’t being brought back in a fit of nostalgia. All of them are being brought back to establish privilege, as part of Bill Barr and John Durham’s attempts to obstruct justice.

Barr and Durham know perfectly well what all three of them did and what all three of them admitted to the FBI and prosecutors. These accounts devastate Barr’s false claims of innocence, and he and Durham need to exclude them. Thus, the transparent grab for privilege.

Rudy Giuliani and other criminal lawyers were “hired” by @realDonaldTrump for this reason, too. It’s not because he keeps “changing his legal team”. It’s because of an increasingly desperate attempt to establish privilege (of any type) with as many co-conspirators as possible.
