Trump is panicking tonight and tweeting about "civil war" if he's removed from office. It tells us one very important, immediate thing: He's not convinced McConnell's Senate won't vote to convict him.

If Trump truly believes McConnell has his back, he'd just say, "Fine. Go ahead an impeach me. It'll go nowhere and then we can get back to building the wall. Now leave me alone. I have some golf to play." That ain't where he's at.
